A ‘Synergistic Training Program Utilizing Scientific and Technological Infrastructure (STUTI)’ supported by R&D infrastructure Division of Department of Science & Technology (DST) is being organized by Sophisticated Analytical Technical Help Institute (SATHI) at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in association with Amity University during November 24-30, 2022. Thirty participants from more than 15 States (Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Bihar, Gujrat, Punjab, Karnataka, Kerala, Telengana, Tamilnadu, West Bengal, New Delhi, Assam, Haryana, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh) including scientists, Assistant Professors and research scholars and representative from Industry are attending the program. They are being exposed to the use of high-end research instruments, High Resolution Isotope ratio mass Spectrometry, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance 600, Electro Chemical Workstation Fuel Cell Workstation and Solar Simulator located at Central Discovery Centre of BHU.
Dr. Mangala Rai, Former Director General, Indian Council of Agricultural Research was the Chief Guest of the Inaugural Session, Dr. Arunasis Chakraborty, Dy DG AMITY Foundation for Science Technology & Innovation Alliances was the Guest of Honour and Prof. Anil Kumar Tripathi, Director Institute of Science, BHU & Coordinator SATHI-BHU presided over the function. All the dignitaries encouraged and stressed need of using these advanced instruments for carrying out high quality research interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research to develop technologies which address the needs of our country. Coordinator SATHI-BHU also welcomed all the potential users of these equipment to make best use of these high end equipment either not available or available at very few places in the country. He informed that SATHI-BHU will soon come up with online platform to make it more accessible to the researchers, MSME, Startups and Industry.
