BHU : Prof. Inu Mehta, the Principal, Mahila Mahavidyalaya and Chairperson of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), MMV has informed that a ‘National Webinar on e-Content Development’ was organized by IQAC, MMV on 25th March 2022. Prof. Neelam Srivastava (coordinator IQAC, MMV) welcomed the eminent speaker Dr. Sanjay Kumar Tiwari, Deputy Director, HRDC, Banaras Hindu University. Dr. Tiwari started his talk by highlighting the historical perspective of e-content development in India.
Further, he explained the types of e-contents, its creation and dissemination process. In a very elaborative way, he discussed different types of copyrights and licenses available for open access of e-resources. He mentioned the four quadrant approach for the development of e-courses. Through MOOCs (massive open online courses), an individual can contribute in the development of the National Repository for the e-resources. He spoke about multiple software’s being used for e-content development and detailed the description of Moodle as a learning management system.
He listed a number of national institutions like PMMMNMTT, IITs, IISc, HRDCs, Central Universities, etc., who have developed their own independent platforms for e-courses. He advised students and faculties to get maximum benefits from Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) platform. The theme of the webinar was presented by Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, and Prof. K. N. Tiwari was the convenor of the session. This webinar was successfully organized by Dr. Rakesh Pandey (convener), Dr. Ganesh Kumar Maurya (co-convener) and Dr. Sabina Bano (organizing secretary).
